Mary Anne Harrison's Obituary
Mary Anne Harrison was a 1957 graduate of Randolph-Macon Woman's College, now Randolph College, in Lynchburg, VA. After graduation, Anne taught elementary school in Hampton, VA, and Baltimore, MD.
In 1960 she married Tom Harrison, a Baltimorean, whom she met on a blind date at church. As a 16-year-old member of the church choir, she had noted Tom as he passed her on his way to receive communion. He was very attractive and wore a blazer with Johns Hopkins on it. "He's my ideal man," she thought, but realized he was older than she. Much to her surprise, they were married 8 years later.
As the wife of a corporate attorney, she quickly learned to adjust to the five new places they lived: Pittsburgh, PA; North Canton, OH; Bronxville, NY; Wichita, KS; and Huntsville, AL.
In 1967, while in the NY area, she earned an MS degree in Education from Hunter College, City College of NY. With a strong interest in adult education, she was Associate Director for the Bronxville Adult School in Bronxville, NY, and Development Coordinator of the Learning in Retirement Program for the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Known as "Grand Anne," her grandchildren delighted in her annual birthday letters, beach vacations, sleepovers, day trips, and lunches at Dunwoody Village in Newtown Square, PA.
Volunteer interests included Junior League, P.E.O., Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, DAR, and welcoming newcomers to Dunwoody Village. She was also an active Episcopalian.
Anne is survived by her two sons, Bill Harrison of Malvern, PA and Stephen Harrison of Havertown, PA; their spouses Debra and Laura; four grandchildren, Jonathan, Graham, Lydia, and Aleta; two sisters, Judy Geoghegan of Newtown Square, PA, and Nancy Moss of Richmond, VA.
Anne's life reflected her faith, love for family and friends, efforts to reach out to others, and a determination to choose happiness every day. Anne also gave her family a collection of memories, traditions, and stories that will continue to influence everyone for years to come.
A memorial service will be held at St. Alban's Episcopal Church, 3625 Chapel Road, Newtown Square, PA 19073, on September 12th at 11:00am. A private internment will be held for family members following the service.

Constance H. Mickel Obituary
Bryn Mawr, PA - Constance "Connie" H. Mickel passed away on May 21, 2026.
Born in Philadelphia on April 30, 1944, Connie was the beloved daughter of the late William and Gladys Hughlett. A talented musician, she pursued her passion for education and the arts at West Chester University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Organ Performance. She later achieved a Master of Arts in Choral Conducting from Temple University.
Connie dedicated her professional life to church music. Over a long and fulfilling career, she shared her musical gifts as an organist and choir director for several churches throughout the greater Philadelphia area.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Bob; her loving brother, Richard; her two sons, John Abt and Steven Abt; and three cherished grandchildren.

Sandra McCabe Obituary
MCCABE SANDRA (nee KANIA) Age 69, passed away on December 29, 2025. She is survived by her loving husband Anderson, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Arthur J. Kania, Sr. and six siblings, Arthur, Kenny, Karen, James, Steven and Linda. She attended Baldwin School, Duke University and USC. She was a member of Overbrook Golf Club and Merion Cricket Club. Visitation will be at 9:00 A.M. and Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 17 at St. Thomas of Villanova Church on campus, Villanova, PA. Interment will be private.
